Since moving to New York, both David and Grace had been busy with working their jobs, unpacking and overall just adjusting to the new home and sorroundings. But tonight, David wanted them to actually spend the night in for a change. He had prepped them a tv program for the night, fixed the couch with a nice blanket, dimmed the lights, made the bed and even made preparations for the bath tub and hot tub just in case she wanted to take a bath or relax in the water for a bit. He had just gotten dinner home and had it on the table waiting for Grace to get back from her photo shoot.

Grace had been busy at a photoshoot for the past 4 hours. She'd had a good time over all and the pictures had turned out great, but she was ready to just get back home and be with David. They had been so busy getting involved in their new lives in New York that between work and moving in, they hadn't gotten to spend a lot of time together. Of course the Halloween party had been a fun evening for them, but nothing beat being at home with her man.
Grace walked in the door. She noticed the dim lighting and at first, she figured that maybe David had fallen asleep or something. That was until she smelled the aroma coming from the kitchen. It smelled like heaven. She headed toward the kitchen with a smile on her face, dropping her purse on the counter.
Grace Hunter: What's cookin' good lookin' ?
She leans back against the counter, waiting for him to respond.

He smiles and turns back to Grace.
"You in the mood for some home made fried chicken?" He asked knowing she should be hungry by now. "so how did your photo shoot go?"

She smiled back at him.
Grace Hunter: You know how it is. Stand here. Stand there. Put your hand behind your head. Smile. Change outfits. Repeat the process.
She leaned over the stove smelling the chicken.
Grace Hunter: That looks amazing.

He checks to see how it's doing and turns the fryer down.
"yeah it does, but I can guarantee that you look much..much better."
He smiles as he gives her a kiss and grabs two plates

She kisses him back before going to get the silverware and some glasses. After picking out the silverware she begins to giggle to herself. David is looking at her when she glances in his direction clearly wanting to know what she found so funny.
Grace Hunter: I'm sorry. You can just be so cheesy sometimes.
She continues to giggle, but walks over to him and gives him another kiss to let him know she didn't think that was necessarily a bad thing before setting the silverware down on the plates he had gotten. She walked back over to the cabinet to get the glasses down. They were in the very top shelf and a little to far back for her to reach, but Grace continued to try anyway. She managed to get one down, but when she reached for the second one, it slipped through her fingers and crashed on the floor, shattering. Grace jumped back, a little frightened. She hadn't been expecting that.

David rushed over to make sure it hadn't cut her. He takes her hands and looks at them before looking at the mess.
"Are you okay? You didn't get cut or anything did you?"
He quickly grabs a broom and tries to sweep the broken glass into a pile

Grace looked at him.
Grace Hunter: I'm sorry. I shouldn't have tried to reach them.
She looked from David down to the mess that she had made. She was still a little shaken and her brain was working slowly. She didn't feel like any of the glass had hit her, but she looked down at her hands that David had already inspected to make sure.

He sweeps them into a dustpan and dumps it into the trash before putting his arms around her waist and giving her a kiss.
"It wasn't your fault, you were trying to help. And I appreciate that, I'm just glad your okay."
He smiles as he turns back to the stove.
"So are you ready to eat?"
