Rebecca had been very busy at school since the new year began. She had picked up a few extra classes and her schedule had just kept her completely swamped. When she did have any free time, she mostly spent it with her sister Kylie and helped with her wedding plans. The couple still hadn't set an exact date but Kylie was determined to get the minor details out of the way so when they decided on the date, they would be ready. Becca had been doing everything to keep her sister from getting stressed about things, but there was only so much that she could do.
Now Becca was walking through the park on her cell phone. She hadn't done this since the day she ran into a girl named Zoey who ended up collapsing and needing medical attention. Thankfully, the colder weather was going away. As long as Mother Nature didn't throw a hissy fit, the weather would hopefully only keep getting better and Becca would be able to go back to her usual routine of playing her music in the park.
“Yeah, I know, Ky. I promise that I will meet you at five like we agreed.” She sighed as she listened to her sister on the other end. “No I won't forget. I even set an alarm in my phone. Just go have fun today. Relax and enjoy yourself. Love you too. Bye.”
Becca ended the call and tossed her backpack onto the ground.
“Homework, here I come.”
She sat down on the ground next to her backpack before beginning to pull out a few of her books. She hadn't been sitting there long before someone approached her.

It was Michael who ended up walking over to her. He hasn't seen Becca or her sister in a while. He was just skateboarding through the park. He had his skateboard in his right hand as he put his skateboard down as he sat down next to her as she looked at him her spoke.
" hey Becca been a while."
He paused as he crossed his legs. And looked at her then at her books and said looking back at her.
"Homework or studying?"
She then began to say as he ran his hands through his hair

She looked at all the books around her. Truthfully the answer to his question would have been both, but she decided to focus on the book she had in her hand at the moment.
“Homework.”
She glances over at him and smiled.
“You out here to enjoy the beautiful weather too?”

he looked over at her. as he began to say.
"yeah i have been waiting for it to get nicer so i can go skateboarding."
he looked around for a moment then back at her. he didnt want to keep her from we work so he was trying to keep the conversation short.
"so how have you been lately. last time i saw you was at the karaoke thing."
he looked at her as she began to say.

“Yeah, the karaoke contest. That was a fun night.”
She smiled remembering it.
“Well I've been kind of crazy busy with my sister getting engaged and helping her plan things. Then I was insane enough to pick up a few extra courses and think I could handle it. So I haven't gotten out much in the past few months.”
She looked at him as she set her book to the side.
“What about you? How have you been? What have you been up to? Has your daughter been alright?”

"that's great. tell your sister i said congratulations. i have been waiting for another contest thing like the karaoke. "
he paused for a moment.
"i been just working on music pretty much dont like really playing my own music so i do mostly cover songs now.. my daughter is good she is actually staying in California currently. so its just pretty much me at my house working on music most of the day."
he paused looking at her as he took of his leather jacket really quick he had a black tank top on under it. then she began to say.

Becca got a little distracted when he took his jacket off. She needed to look away. She needed to say something. Becca quickly looked away before he could catch her staring.
“Sounds kind of lonely. I bet you miss her like crazy when she is away.”

"yeah i do miss her. but that is why i got her a laptop so we can Skype everyday.i have my dogs so its not really that lonely but when it is i just go out somewhere"
he looks over at her. then spoke again.
"plus i have been doing some cleaning sell a few of my guitars so i have had things to do. and remodeling my studio also."
he paused as she began to say.
